Peach picking at Eckert's

This is the day that we wait for all year long. It was extra special this year because there was no peach picking last year. We were a little bummed when we got out in the field though. The peaches were not real ripe, so they were not as juicy as normal. But there is a good side to everything. This just means we will have to come back in a few weeks. Don was happy to hear that because he didn't get to come with us this time.

The boys always have the most fun playing golf.

Livy really enjoyed the play area. This was probably the first time she has been big enough to do any of it. She got the idea of golf much better than I would have expected.

WOW! Now that is a zucchini!

This zucchini came out of our garden the other day. I had gone out the day before to pick stuff and thought that it wasn't ready yet, that it could stand to wait another day. Well the next night Don came inside with this zucchini. 15 1/2 inches long, and that's not even including the stem. I thought I was going to fall over when he came walking in with it. I took the pictures next to Olivia to show just how big it is.
The rest of our garden is doing really good too. We have been getting lots and lots of tomatoes, cucumbers, and many different kinds of peppers. We also have lots of strawberries. Well, that is when Olivia doesn't get them. She calls them strawbabies. She eats them until all the red ones are gone, then just starts on the green ones. Our corn is looking really nice too.

Olivia's 2nd Birthday/Church 4th of July celebration

The Birthday Girl!

She decided
that she would cut her own cake.

She was playing "peek a boo"
with the paper from her present.

Reading her "book",
as she called it.

4th Of July Celebration

Later that evening we went to our church for a 4th of July celebration. We had a
lot of fun. They had bounce houses, face painting, a car show, watermellon, suckers, music & the fire department to let the kids get in the firetruck.

The boys all loved the bounce houses the most I think.

Olivia did not care for the bounce houses. She kept wanting to get in, but then she would cry when we tried (picture on left). The picture on the right was her idea of a bounce house. She sat on the step to the bounce house while Daddy bounced it.

At the end of the night they had an amazing fireworks show. I think it was the best we have ever seen.

Olivia didn't enjoy the fireworks. They are just too loud for her.

A perfect end to a perfect day! Daddy was in heaven! He is always wanting Olivia to fall asleep with him, but it is very rare that she will do it. He was so excited that she gave in.
