Birthday Party For Jesus

After dinner on Christmas day, we had a little birthday party for Jesus. I made a cake, and we had birthday plates, napkins and party favors. We sang "happy birthday", then the kids blew out the candles.

Christmas Morning

We had a really good Christmas morning. The boys got up a little bit before 8 and came knocking on our door. They came in and said "Merry Christmas". They are such good boys. Never, "where are my presents?", or "what did I get?", just "Merry Christmas". They called Mau-Mau to have her come down, and then got dressed in there new outfits that Santa gave them last night. Mau-Mau got Olivia up when she came down, and then we opened presents.

Mommy getting the stockings down.
The boys have a thing at school where they get to buy presents. They think it is really cool because they get to pick out things themselves to give to people. It is so cute to see what they pick out. This is Justin handing out the gifts he got.

Brenden & Justin with there new VFlash.
Brenden is so funny. I have never seen a kid love boxes more than he does. After all the presents were open, he saw a big empty box, and asked if he could have it. He took that, some packaging from other presents, and started making a club with the tools that he got from Santa last night. He is such a simple kid, doesn't take much at all to make him happy.

The cats enjoyed Christmas morning too. Olivia got a blanket out of her drawer and left it opened, so Buttons got in and took a nap. At kept sleeping in the box from Olivia's new drum.

Catching Santa!

We decided to try and catch Santa bringing the presents this year. The boys were really excited that we caught him in the act. We got lots of good pictures, and he never even knew it.

We left him some cheesecake instead of cookies. We figured he gets a little tired of cookies all of the time.

Reindeer Food

The boys made reindeer food at school to put on the lawn to attract Santa and his reindeer.

Christmas Eve At Mau-Mau's House

Each year, Santa comes to Mau-Mau's house on Christmas Eve to give the kids a couple of presents. They all get so excited when he comes walking in the door. Well that is all the kids except for Olivia. She loves seeing pictures of Santa, and we even saw him from a distance at the mall last night, but I guess it is different when he comes walking into your Mau-Mau's house. She was not happy at all. Justin was trying to calm her down, that was really cute, but it didn't work. She was scared to death! And of course her name was the first that Santa called out. I think she cried even harder when she heard him say her name. Mau-Mau had to bring her up to get her present.

Mau-Mau walked Olivia up again, but she actually took the present this time.
She walked up by herself this time, but she wouldn't look at him.

OK, so we thought since she actually walked up to Santa on her own, she may stand by him so we could get a picture of the kids all together. The answer was NO.
So here is the picture of our kids with Santa, minus Olivia.

Christmas at Grandma & Pa-Pa's house

We went to Don's mom and dad's house tonight to celebrate Christmas. We ate dinner, then opened presents. We had fun.

Olivia got her own chair to put at the table.
It was so cute because she had no idea that
it wasn't even going to come close to the table.
Daddy made a little table for her, just her size.
