Today was Justin's Blue and Gold Banquet for Cub Scouts. The theme was Chinese New Year. He got to use chop sticks to eat his dinner with. He did pretty good with them. He used them a lot longer than I thought he would. When he got to his corn he decided he would use his fork.

They had a dad and son cake decorating contest. Don and Justin did a "Cars" cake. It turned out really cute.

What A Mess!
For Valentines Day I made Don and I a little dinner at home to enjoy after we got the kids in bed. I made two little heart cakes for us to have after dinner. When we were finished we just left them on the table and I was going to wash everything up in the morning. Well, Livy found them before I got to clean them up. She walked down the hall while we were getting the kids ready for school, and she had cake all over her face. Boy was she thrilled! As far as she was concerned, she had found a pot of gold.Cake for breakfast, what more could a baby ask for?

SNOW!!!!!
This is the most snow we have had in a long time. The boys were thrilled to get it. It started around 11am on Thursday so they got to come home from school early. Then school was canceled on Friday. They spent most of the day out playing in the snow. Today we all went sledding. We had so much fun. I'm not sure who had more fun, the kids, or Daddy & Mommy. This was Olivia's first time in the snow and she really liked it.

Sesame Street Live
had so much fun. Olivia didn't know what to think when it first started. She just stood and looked, trying to figure out what was going on. Then when they started doing the song for Elmo's World she went crazy. She has never really watched Sesame Street, but she has an Elmo doll she loves that sings the song. Justin and Brenden really enjoyed
themselves too. I was afraid that they may be "too

Pinewood Derby Race
Justin raced in his first Pinewood Derby Race with Cub Scouts today. Him and Daddy made the Cub Scout knife as his car. They had a lot of fun making it. It won 3rd place in design.

Olivia loves the magnets on the
them all the time. She is really learning a lot from them
too. She sings along when it plays the ABC song, it is so cute! Today she had seen Brenden bring a couple of the letters into the hall so she started doing it. We stood and watched as she brought a few more in and realized that she got more of the same color. Before long she had every yellow magnet in a nice little pile on the floor. We were amazed. Not bad for 18 months old.

Welcome to our blog!
I have decided to start a blog for our family. I figured no better time than the beginning of a new year. I have to admit though, I am doing it for mostly selfish reasons. Now when I am scrapbooking pictures later on down the road I can look back and know what we were doing at the time.
